We have had an overwhelming response to the announcement of the CandiaOaks Evergreen+ membership. Thanks to all of you who have already become 2010 Evergreen+ members and thanks to all of you who have called or come in to our golf shops to inquire about this unique concept in golf club membership. It is truly different from anything ever offered before and, as a result, there have been a number of questions. Below you’ll find answers to those questions which have been most common.

Is the Evergreen+ offer actually a membership in the clubs or is it just a pre purchase of rounds and carts at a discount?
All those in the Evergreen+ program are members at both Candia Woods and The Oaks and receive equal (with all CandiaOaks member categories) member privileges at both facilities.  All CandiaOaks members are provided a GHIN handicap (held at either Candia Woods or The Oaks), may make tee times seven days in advance - at both clubs, are eligible to participate in member leagues – at both clubs, are eligible to participate in member tournaments – at both clubs and may participate in an exclusive (member only) golf equipment buying option.

Is the entire amount of the Evergreen+ member deposit loaded on the member/debit card?
Yes.  The entire amount of the Evergreen+ member deposit is loaded on the member/debit card (cards for couple's membership).  The member privileges, including the dramatic savings on greens fees and cart rentals, are included at no charge.  This will allow you to pay only for the rounds you play and for the times you ride in a cart.     

Just how may the value on my member/debit card be spent?
You may spend the value on your member/debit card to purchase any goods or services offered at Candia Woods and The Oaks. This includes greens fees; guest greens fee; cart rentals; clinics/lessons; pro shop merchandise; food & beverage in the Clearing and the Hideout Grill; the Grand Breakfast Buffet served at The Oaks; you may even apply it toward a function in the Evergreen Pavilion or the Grand View Ballroom! . The only limitation will be: the carryover value on the member/debit card may not be used toward the following year’s annual deposit required for Evergreen member privileges.  

Will the value on my member/debit card expire?
No. The value on your member/debit card will never expire; again, the only limitation will be: the carryover value on the member/debit card may not be used toward the following year’s annual deposit required for Evergreen member privileges.    

What happens if my member/debit card is lost or stolen?
Because the program is web based we can, at any time, access and cancel value on your card; a new card can then be issued with the appropriate balance. Of course, the responsibility is yours to notify us immediately if a card does become lost or stolen.

If The Oaks or Candia Woods holds a special promotional day (Preferred Player or Fifty-Five + Club) for which the price for golf & cart (on that day) is less than the Evergreen rate – what will Evergreen+ members be charged?
Evergreen+ members will always be charged at the lowest possible rate. If, on a given day, a rate for golf and cart is offered that is less than the published Evergreen rate then Evergreen members will be charged at that lower rate. 

Can I, as an Evergreen+ member, participate in the new “CaniaOaks Dollars” awards program?
Yes. All Evergreen+ members are automatically enrolled in the new CandiaOaks Dollars awards program. That means you are eligible to receive value back on every purchase you make at Candia Woods and The Oaks. For example, purchase a weekend greens fee at the Evergreen member rate of $45.00 and you’ll receive $2.25 in awards which may be applied to any future purchase.

As an Evergreen+ member will I receive the two free rounds of golf extended to standard Evergreen members.
No.  Evergreen+ members receive all member privileges but do not receive the two free rounds extended to standard Evergreen members. 

I’m not married is there any way I might qualify for a Husband & Wife Evergreen+ membership?
Yes. In fact we’ve changed the name to the “Couples Evergreen+”. As long as you reside in the same household you qualify for the “Couples Evergreen+”; this includes father/son and domestic partners.

I’m interested in the Evergreen+ Couples membership but I play a lot more than my partner – when my card value expires may I use his/her card?
Yes. The member/debit cards are transferable between Evergreen+ couples’ members.

I see that there is a limit on the number of Evergreen+ memberships to be offered – I’d like to know how many and when you expect the offer to be sold out?
Although we have announced that there will be a limit to the number of Evergreen+ memberships offered, we have not yet established a specific number. The objective of the program is to supplement an already robust CandiaOaks membership but, at the same time assure that all of our members have access to prime tee times, to member leagues and to member tournaments. As a result, we will monitor the growth in all 2010 membership categories and close the program when we feel an appropriate number has been reached.
